Advanced Figure Skating Classes at Fox Valley Ice Arena

Session Dates: Fall1 August 31 to October 23rd, 2010
Fall 1 Session Underway limited spaces are still available please call 630-845-0132 to register On line registation for Fall 2 October 26th to December 18th will be available soon NEW!! All levels for Freestye 2 and up will be in the Freestyle Skating Program. Skaters will be evaluated through out the session and moved to the next level when recommended by their instructor. This will ensure the skater moves throughout the levels in a timely manner according to when all maneuvers per level have been mastered. ISI and USFS methods will be combined to offer the most complete and comprehensive Figure Skating program to all our Freestyle students. For further questions on this program please call 630-845-0132 ISI testing will be done for those wishing to earn badges and or compete at the levels they have passed. |
Fee Includes: -one class per week -40 min class instruction -flexible make up schedule -Practice session 8:00 to 8:30 Saturday morning

Silver Level : Silver Level prerequisite Bronze Level (Beta/Gamma)(Basic 5/6) Tue, Thur 8 wk $154/$119 Sat 6 wk Skaters will learn advanced backward skating skills, turns and beginning edge work. Backward stroking and crossovers. T-stops. 2 foot edges. Outside three turns. Mohawks. Hockey stop. Tap toe both directions. Tuesday 6:00 to 6:40, Thursday 5:40 to 6:20, Saturday 8:30 to 9:20 Gold Level : Gold Level prerequisite Silver Level(Delta/FS1) (Basic7/8) Thur 8 wk $154/$119 Sat 6 wk This is the last level before the skater will enter freestyle skating levels. Forward inside and outside edges. Backward 2ft. edges. Bunny hops. Lunges. Beginning straight line spiral both legs. Beginning waltz jump from a standstill. Beginning 2 ft spin from a standstill. Forward to backward transitions forward inside and backward inside Mohawks. Thursday 5:40 to 6:20, Saturday 8:30 to 9:20 Figure Skating Levels : Figure Skating levels prerequisite Gold Level Thur 8 wk $154/$119 Sat 6 wk These class levels are for the skater who has mastered their basic skating skills.
